Rufous Male Hummingbird
These birds were doing the mating dance - rising high, diving quickly and then chasing each other. John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2020 to 2005 > April 2018 > Rufous Male Hummingbird

Two Osprey And A Bald Eagle
We counted between four and six (probably six) Osprey in the pilings on the Vancouver side of the Fraser. From this picture, it's hard to believe you are looking at the city of Vancouver. John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2020 to 2005 > April 2016 > Two Osprey And A Bald Eagle

Swallow Inspecting Birdhouse
These birds didn't really seem to mind the birders close by - the bird was inspecting a nest box and spent quite a bit of time coming half into the hole. Species: Tachycineta bicolor (Tree Swallow)

Immature Female Tree Swallow
I believe this is an Immature Female Tree Swallow because of the dark back and dark beak. Immature males have a yellow beak apparently. Species: Tachycineta bicolor (Tree Swallow)

Bald Eagle Flying With Bird Remains
I figure he is carrying part of a bird because of the feathers. John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2020 to 2005 > November 2017 > Bald Eagle Flying With Bird Remains

Purple Finch Male
I believe this is a purple finch, not a house finch. I believe that because the red goes most places (I have a bum picture), the prominent light band on the head and the crest. Species: Haemorhous purpureus (Purple Finch)
