Sean at Dairy Queen

We met up at the Jer's house and then met at Dairy Queen - we arrived 7 minuets
apprart - not bad for heavy traffic and a three hour drive. Dairy Queen consumed, we hit the
road going north to Lac Le Jeune.

Red-Naped Sapsucker Helen noticed this bird while I was taking photos of the Osprey. You can see how the tree has been damaged so that the Sapsucker can get a meal.

Spotted Knapweed On Trail I didn't see Knapweed anywhere else - I wonder if this is a human transported plant.

Yellow Salsify Field I remember these giant sized dandelion's when I was a kid. They don't quite blow like dandelion's, but they are huge.

Graceful Cinquefoil Those leaves don't go with the flower - I have another photo of the leaves that makes it much easier to identify the species.

Mormon Fritillary On Alfalfa Fritillary are interesting - you can distinguish them by their wing pattern, but the patterns are quite similar.
