Stephen And His Sunset
Stephen is on the shore next to a rapid formed by the tide change and I believe he is using that to mirror the sunset - much as I did shortly after.

Red Columbine
Red Columbine - Aquilegia formosa is one of my favorite wild flowers - the colors are very strong and I find the shape nice to look at.
Species: Aquilegia formosa (Red Columbine, Western Columbine)

Helliwell Cliffs
This slowly eroded cliff is quite different from what you normally find.

Yellow Monkeyflowers
These flowers were only found here - where water slowly ran over the rocks to the ocean. Of course that is perfect Monkeyflower habitat.
Species: Mimulus guttatus (common monkey-flower, yellow monkey-flower)

Field Chickweed With Dead Wood
This is another one of those flowers that apparently grows everywhere that I have never seen before. It's quite nice how it mats. Again, I figured this was an escaped garden plant.
Species: Cerastium arvense (field chickweed)

Helen Under Large Tree
That large tree is a Douglas Fir - these trees grow to be huge. Out here, they are often "eagle trees" because they are taller than the surrounding forest and have good solid branches.
Species: Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas fir)
