Snow fell, we walked to school. Vancouver schools mostly stayed open - everything East closed because they got so much more snow.

I call this a "Chicken Cordon Bleu" shot - take something cool and put in in the foreground (but not in the center) and then add something else cool and use it to fill the background. If you don't like the chicken, maybe you will like the ham.
Circular Rice Paddy
The circular pattern meant that this rice was destined for offering to the deities. Only clean water was put into this field and fertilization was limited. It's nice to see agriculture occurring in a museum.
