Diagonal Falls

This interesting water fall is near the mouth of cascade inlet.
It's quite deep so we could get the boat quite close to it.

Waterfall in Cascade Inlet

You get a sense of how steep Cascade Inlet is.  I wonder what this
would be like to climb.

Waterfall in Cascade Inlet

I think this river is highly seasonal - the rocks are clear of vegetation
for a long distance from the sides of the creek.

Waterfall in Cascade Inlet

It's still pretty early so there is lots of mist in the air.  This
waterfall must run hard because it's carved a v shaped channel in the mountain.

Waterfall in Cascade Inlet

This goes to show how hard the rock is here - the falls haven't cur a single
path down the rock face, but they have cleared the trees away.  The fault in the
rocks has been eroded out.

Waterfall in Cascade Inlet

This is a thin waterfall now but I bet in the spring run off it's pretty large.

Mossy Falls

These falls are also in the Japanese Gardens.

This is part of the Japanese Gardens.

Scaleless Falls

This photo really needs something to give you sense of scale.  It's also completly blown
the latitude of slide film.

Falls into Gorge

I definitly had contrast problems with this one.  I bet this would be fun swimming
if the cold didn't kill you.

Little Qualicum Gorge

I was trying to go for the S curve but the contrast killed me.  I figure this picture was about 3pm (sunset at 7).

Top Falls at Englishman River

The water seems to have found the weak part of the rock.

Bottom Falls at Englishman River

I pretty push this exposure a bit too far - the white falls and
dark water are too much for Velvia.

Bottom Falls at Englishman River

I used a polarizer to get rid of the surface highlights - I think
the contrast is too crazy high.

This is from the suspension bridge bellow the falls.  I like the veils
caused by the moton blur.

Family in Front of Ice Falls

This spring flows through the winter but freezes when it hits open air.

Banjo Falls And Bridge
The wall of columnar basalt that holds up the waterfall has been completely cemented in. There was a walk way under the falls but it has been fenced off for quite a while.

Myrtle falls In Front Of Rainier
There was a lineup of people to take a picture of these falls. That said, it's a beautiful shot - it even made the cover of the local hiking book.
