The scale of the castle is enormous. I think the bridge is modern, but if this moat was full and the bridge gone, it would certainly stop me!
The castle building itself is classic (it's a rebuild) and houses a museum.

I don't know who she was, but she garnered respect.
These floors were cool - as you walked across them they would squeak like a bird. The idea was to guard the palace interiors by making walking across the floor impossible.
I believe this is Fujimi-yagura - a guard house. I love the massive scale rock work done on the perimeter of the moat.
