Fringed Grass-Of-Parnassus
Parnassia fimbriata to it's closer friends. There were few flowers growing this late, but these Saxifrage were one of the exceptions.

Tiger Lily

This example of Lilium columbianum.  There is a superstition
(or so says my book) that smelling a tiger lily will give you freckles.

Red Corn Flower

Common Red Paintbrush - Castilleja miniata

As we ascended up Hatchethead Mountain we encountered a clearing with Paintbrush.  As we continued to ascend,
the paintbrush thinned out and disappeared again.

Blurry Pedals
I like how the tips of the pedals are have a thin region where the focus changes. It's difficult to see if the pedal tips are forward or back.
