I believe the holes in the sign are so it won't blow over in the 60 kph+ winds.

Someone really likes this trail. This sign is about an hour from the closest road.

Would you have noticed the sign? The trail to lost lake is much less traveled
than the loop trail so you have to really pay attention to find the trail.

This sign is at the gate and introduces the hike.  This trail is well maintained.

We were told that each yellow sign is a "conversation bar" where you talk to "interested women"
and pay $100 for a glass of Whiskey. We didn't find out if that was true.

This was a bit of surprise - we were one the subway from Tokyo Station and looked up
to see this little guy. It wasn't the only time we saw

When this forest was being activly logged, they built this chute to move logs from
down to the mill area.

These are the shortest bank hours I've seen anywhere in the world -
4 hours on Wednesday, 6 hours on Thursday, and 4 hours on Friday.
I guess it's better than no bank.

The Brant Festival was on a few weeks before we arrived.
