Burning Incense

The smells coming from these burners! Most of the people there were
students - I don't know why they were burning incense.

Temple Bell

This was the morning of the first day - every temple was a new and
amazing thing, and for the most part empty. Of course it was 6am and
we were a little jet lagged.

This is the largest single building at Nikko, and generally the first you will walk through.

Roof at Entrance to Ryoan-ji
Not really the main attaction at Ryoan-ji, I really liked this modern roof on the entrance gate. Lots of work must go into building these.
