Lillooet Valley Before Moonrise
The moon came up minutes after this picture. The timing wasn't great - the sun had barely set when the moon was due to come up so there was no dark sky to see stars. If it were later in the month, you wouldn't have to drive far from Lillooet to see the milky way. John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2023 to 2005 > Lillooet > Lillooet Valley Before Moonrise

Big Dipper Over The Trees
The camera was propped up on a picnic table and angled up using my wallet . At 28mm, I don't have a very wide angle lens. The moon was out which is why the trees were so well lit up. John Harvey Photo > John Harvey Photo - Camping > Manning Camping 2 > Big Dipper Over The Trees

Camp Fire With Stars
This is a three minute exposure which is all I could do with the camp fire in the scene. It was a partly cloudy night so I wasn't ever going to get a great star picture. John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2023 to 2005 > May Long Weekend in Bowser > Camp Fire With Stars

Anchored At Night
I like how the stars are actually clusters of dots and the boat rocked side to side (one period) and rotated (second period). John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > Vietnam > Hanoi And Halong Bay > Anchored At Night

Camp Fire And Stars Above The Curve
you could quite clearly see the Milky Way here. I have a picture but of course the plant turned and made everything blurry! John Harvey Photo > John's Overnight Page > Winter Harbour To Brooks Peninsula > Camp Fire And Stars Above The Curve
