Hotel Building
You want to stay here - it's a 30 second walk to where the food is, rather than a 10 minute walk to the "cottages".

Hilton Bathroom
I really wish my bathroom at home looked like this. Perhaps I wish for housekeeping more, but the bathroom was nice.

Lake Louise Hotel In Snow
If you can't see the other end of the hotel you aren't going to see across the lake.

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel from the top of Sulfur Mountain. I always thought the brochure shots were from a helicopter, but it turns out there is a mountain in the right place for the shot.

The Broken Building Next Door

This is the broken resort next to us - the Kona Lagoon.
It's a 454 room resort that closed in 1988 and never reopened.

Our Building

This is building number 8 of the Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club.
We are the unit on the far left, top floor.

Our Hotel

This is the where we stayed.  It gets high marks
for the price, the dinner and quality.

Bath

Our hotel () had a hot spring fed bath. After a day of walking around, it
was very relaxing. This pictures was a bit challenging - every time
I walked in the lens fogged up, so I had to wait, rush in and just snap.

Hotel in Nikko

This is my room in the Turtle Inn Nikko. The floors are tatami - rice mats. That box
in the corner is a kerosene heater - there is no central heating.

Hallway in the Namu Hotel

I'm not sure how much longer this hotel will be standing.  Some of the hotel is in great
shape but other areas (exposed to the elements) are starting to detoriate.

View from Hotel - Namu

You can see the decayed boardwalk and the fuel tanks.  The local caretakers
have built a walk way around the colapsed section to give access to some of the other
buildings and the lake behind.
