Dwarf Fireweed
On other hikes this has been the dominate plant. Here it was only common in the drier and less occupied locations.

Indian Pipe
I'm always interested when "Plants of Coastal BC" lists a species that "Integrated Taxonomic Information System" says doesn't exist - it seems the Hypopitys family is getting smaller.

Turns out there are up to 5 species of Horsetail that this could be and unless I go back and squeeze the stalk, it's ambiguous.

Devils Club
Devils Club is generally an unhappy plant (lots of spikes, gets intertwined with it's neighbors). I was surprised to see fruit, but not surprised to find it's not particularly edible. I do like the species name - "horridus" - it gives you a sense of what people think of it.
