Bewicks Wren In Cedar
At first I thought this was a brown creeper, but when I got home and looked it up in the books, I found it was a kind of bird I hadn't seen before.
Species: Thryomanes bewickii (Bewick's Wren)

Annas On Branch
I think this is my favorite picture from the all my tries taking photos of the hummingbirds.
Species: Calypte anna (Anna's Hummingbird)

Dragonfly With Nymph Skin
This isn't the dragonfly that just crawled out of the pond - the dragonflies liked this perch and regularly pushed each other off of it. I'm not even sure that is the skin of a dasher - there are other species of dragonflies in this pond.
Species: Pachydiplax longipennis (Blue Dasher)

Wild Carrot Gone To Seed
I saw these same plants earlier in the summer - I was quite impressed how large the seeds were.
Species: Daucus carota (wild carrot, Queen Anne's lace, bird's nest)

Nara Pulling The Wagon
Wagon/Bike is a pretty flexible combo - you can pull a wagon with a bike and you can put a bike on a wagon. It was nice that Nara hauled my camera bag as well.

Wild Carrot Arching Into Birds Nest
At first I thought this was the flower before it blooms - turns out this is after it blooms.
Species: Daucus carota (wild carrot, Queen Anne's lace, bird's nest)

Wild Carrot Undershot
Yes, it is cliché, but sometimes a cliché is better than no shot at all. I wound up lying on a bunch of blackberry so getting up wasn't too comfortable.
Species: Daucus carota (wild carrot, Queen Anne's lace, bird's nest)

Sea Blush
There was a large patch of this native plant. It made me smile. I wish I used more DOF and a tripod.
Species: Plectritis congesta (seablush)

Pond With Iris And Willow
I'm not that good at taking "park" shots - wide angles that capture a whole scene. I like how this one came together.
Species: Iris pseudacorus (paleyellow iris, yellow flag)

Cherry Blossom Reflecting In Pond
This cherry blossom was really late - all the other cherry blossoms in the neighbourhood were past done. Unfortunately the pond is quite stagnant so the reflection is marred by floating debris.

Paddle-tailed Darner
This dragonfly didn't stop very much, but it did the same route around the pond a lot.
Species: Aeshna palmata (Paddle-tailed Darner)

Slowly Swirling Water
There are three image planes in this image - you can see the bottom of the creek, you can see the surface of the creek and you can see the trees reflected on the surface of the creek. Cool. I was trying to highlight the swirling on the duck weed, but I failed.

Claira In The Pond
The water is normally high enough to cover this lip of cement.
