Family Of Red Eared Sliders
I don't know what made all of them want to come out at the same time. These are pet store releases - they don't belong here.

Roadside Oxeye Daisy
These flowers lined the road for at least 100 meters. Sadly, they are invasive.
Species: Leucanthemum vulgare (Oxeye Daisy)

Common Wall Lizard
These are invasive. There is a local lizard that should live here, but it is harder to find.
Species: Podarcis muralis (Common Wall Lizard)

John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2024 to 2005 > May 2019 > Common Wall Lizard

Wild Turkeys In Yard
I don't add species ID's to captive plants and animals such as animals in zoo's, aquariums or farms. These are wild turkeys but they are an invasive species here. They are slowly colonizing up Vancouver Island.
Species: Meleagris gallopavo (Wild Turkey)

Iris In Front Of Blue Lake
Bright yellow is hard to expose correctly. Getting the water semi-transparent behind was a bonus.
Species: Iris pseudacorus (paleyellow iris, yellow flag)

Exposure on the top Iris is poor - I'm not sure how I should have shot this image (HDR comp?)
