As always, be prepared for a wait. To get to Saltspring without going to Vancouver Island, you have to have reservations - the ferries are fully booked.
At Tsawassen terminal, to take the ferry to Victoria (we will then take a ferry to Pender Island from there). We passed a huge amount of stopped traffic on the road to the terminal, as apparently the windows ticketing system had crashed (surprise!)
