Brittle Prickly-Pear Cactus On Bluff
I had not idea these showed up in the Gulf Islands, but Plants of Coastal British Columbia confirms it. I figured this was a run away garden plant in zone denial.
Yellow Monkeyflowers
These flowers were only found here - where water slowly ran over the rocks to the ocean. Of course that is perfect Monkeyflower habitat.
Field Chickweed With Dead Wood
This is another one of those flowers that apparently grows everywhere that I have never seen before. It's quite nice how it mats. Again, I figured this was an escaped garden plant.
