Sean at Dairy Queen

We met up at the Jer's house and then met at Dairy Queen - we arrived 7 minuets
apprart - not bad for heavy traffic and a three hour drive. Dairy Queen consumed, we hit the
road going north to Lac Le Jeune.

Zakwaski Mountain This mountain sticks out more than most in the area. It's also the only named mountain I can find on local maps.

Red Elderberry Not a super common plant, but when you see it, it really stands out.

Mormon Fritillary On Pearly Everlasting There were two of these butterflies on the same roadside group of flowers.

Fireweed This plant is very common in BC. These ones didn't seem to be covered in road side dust.

Vein Of Agate There is a small window of agate filling in the crack in this rock. The agate seems pretty plane - no bands or color gradients. A vein like this in the middle of a rock is probably more trouble than it is worth.

Bear Eating With Youth The young bear has huge bald patch on its rump. The bear (who has a sibling) was walking fine. I wonder if it was a birth defect or an injury.

Small Pieces Of Agate With Chisels Agate is generally a hard rock, but it still cracks if it is struck directly or you pry on it too hard. I need to buy real chisels with hand guards. These little chisels are great for prying open small cracks, but you safely really bang on it them until they are firmly lodged.
