Bird Bar The dark birds are Great Cormorants (there is a large colony in Mai Po). The taller grey birds are Grey Herons.

Mudskipper The local "what's here" sign told me the name of the species. I really like the little blue dots. These guys go from the little streams to the larger mud areas and seem to spend a lot of time fighting over territory.

Red-Base Jezebel When your 100mm lens gets close enough to really see a butterfly, it is really close to the butterfly. Often the butterfly just flies away well before you get that close. This individual was really patient.

Eurasian Curlew And Marsh Sandpiper The Eurasian Curlew is the much larger bird on the left with the crazy long beak. The two Marsh Sandpiper appear to be sleeping.

Caspian Terns In Crowd There were few terns and many seagulls, but the bright red bill makes them stand out.

Marsh Sandpiper This bird happened to wander close enough that I got a nice photo of it.
