Kayaking In Columnar Basalt
This place could have been the giant's Causeway (from the UK) except for it being really in the middle of nowhere. John Harvey Photo > Aristazabal Island > Aristazabal Island - Day 7, 8, 9 > Kayaking In Columnar Basalt

Mostly Blue Sunset
Just a little electric - I swear. It's sad that there are jet con trails up here - if a plane got into trouble, Rupert is a pretty small target. Tags: sunset

Post Sunset
Velvia does tend to amp up colours, but this sunset really was this crazy colourful. John Harvey Photo > Aristazabal Island > Aristazabal Island - Day 7, 8, 9 > Post Sunset

Western Toad In Moss
My good friend Bufo boreas. I was walking in the forest when I saw him and I called Steve over to catch him. Turns out this toad isn't scared of people - it is toxic to eat so he put up with being posed on a near by patch of moss. Species: Bufo boreas (Western Toad)

Sandy Beach
Usually BC water looks so dark, but it really is about the shore - this rare light sandy beach makes our water look almost tropical. John Harvey Photo > Aristazabal Island > Aristazabal Island - Day 7, 8, 9 > Sandy Beach
