Church at Sunset
This is a church. It sticks out. It's me that's leaning. The location is an approximation at best.

The Big Three BBQ Meats
The restaurant has an all you can eat option. You get plates full of brisket, pork ribs and sausage. Four people were able to mostly finish three plates this size. The quality of the meat changed each plate - sometimes we got the short ribs, sometimes the more presentation worthy ribs. Featherleaf Desertpeony
I like to take two photos of plants - one is an identification shot that has the leaves and much more depth of field and a second that highlights the aspect of the plant I want to show. This is the second shot. Tags: flower

Rufous-crowned Sparrow
Sparrows are hard - there are many and the features to tell them apart are often subtle. John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > Austin > Rufous-crowned Sparrow

Small Ballmoss With Flowers
I was really surprised to see these - they are "air plants" - plants that grow without roots in the soil. These plants are pretty benign to their hosts and are often for sale in garden stores for $20 in a kitschy hanging pot. They also make spotting birds hard because the visual field is no longer most thin lines with the odd ball of bird.
Despite the name "ballmoss", this is not a moss.

Cedar Sage
These have a more than passing resemblance to Scarlet Gilia, but again, not related. Species: Salvia roemeriana (cedar sage)
