Kayaking Into Channel Ryan is Kayaking alone in a double Kayak - a challenge in a strong wind.

Sandy Beach Usually BC water looks so dark, but it really is about the shore - this rare light sandy beach makes our water look almost tropical.

Post Sunset Velvia does tend to amp up colours, but this sunset really was this crazy colourful.

Mostly Blue Sunset Just a little electric - I swear. It's sad that there are jet con trails up here - if a plane got into trouble, Rupert is a pretty small target.

Kayaking In Columnar Basalt This place could have been the giant's Causeway (from the UK) except for it being really in the middle of nowhere.

Western Toad In Moss My good friend Bufo boreas. I was walking in the forest when I saw him and I called Steve over to catch him. Turns out this toad isn't scared of people - it is toxic to eat so he put up with being posed on a near by patch of moss.

Immature Bog Cranberry Oxycoccus oxycoccos - this was a small plant - less than 30cm long with just one plant.

Dalls On Bow Dalls move fast and are difficult to predict - it's hard to capture them well. Phocoenoides dalli.

Top Of Alston Cove There are a series of large "ponds". They are believed to be native built fish traps, where fish would be held in a falling tide.

Mouth Of Blee Creek I believe the mountain is called "North Needle". The creek is "Named after William Blee, a pioneer of the Cariboo, who made application on September 24, 1862 to H.P. Crease of New Westminster, for a position in New Westminster or at the Gas Works at Victoria."
