Knives
I like the pattern of light on these knives. They weren't cheap - I believe they were intended for people working in the market and the restauraunts that shop there.

Octopus Balled Up
This is going to become sushi in some restaurant. Perhaps a little Takoyaki? See an example in a Kyoto Market

Row In Fish Market
I love the cobblestone floor in here - I think it shows how old the building is.

Carving Up Tuna
You can see the body is fully of ice - I'm not sure if that means this is fresh fish or frozen, but if it was frozen they would probably be using the band saw.

Pieces Of Tuna In Freezer
I think these pieces of fish are of saleable size for restaurants.

Snails
I'm not sure why the shells on these snails are so broken. I'm not sure if these are salt water or fresh or how it's eaten.

Processing Area
The hanger doesn't have central lighting (that I saw), but there are large sky lights. Most of the vendors had lighting over their sales area, but some parts of the building were quite dark.

Tokyo Metropolitan Building

This is the Metropolitan building, one of the taller buildings in Japan. This is where most of the
city government offices are, and the center of sea of dark suited business men. We were standing in
Shinjuku Central Park when I took this shot.

Tall buildings in Tokyo

This is a view facing south east from the Metropolitan building , one of the taller buildings in Japan.  We played a little
"spot the helicopter pad", but we didn't see much traffic.

View into City

This is a view facing north west from the Metropolitan building , one of the taller buildings in Japan.  What is amazing
is how short most of the buildings are - most of them are less than 7 stories.  They just
go on forever.

Shell Oil's building in Odaiba
This is one of the larger and definitely stranger buildings in Odaiba.  This is the
view from the top of the ferris wheel (Daikanransha)

Fujimi-yagura

I believe this is Fujimi-yagura - a guard house.  I love the massive scale
rock work done on the perimeter of the moat.

Tokyo Tower

Welcome to Tokyo!  The Tokyo tower was a few blocks behind our hotel.  When we arrived
we were a little time confused (it was early in the morning for us, early evening in Japan) so we
went for a walk to try and stay awake.

Yes, a lot was spilled on her jacket. Not an ideal travel food for a two year old.
