Double Bay Resort

On our way down to Hanson Island we passed a lot of little fishing boats
and then their source - !  We would see a few more of these
resorts on our trip.

Fishing At Sunset

This is probably one of the rental boats from (just around the corner.)
We wondered what mountain that was - looking at the Topo maps, I'm guessing it's

Bob Fishing

It was just about sunset and we went for a troll around Jenny Inlet.

Fish Scale in Namu

This scale goes up to 600 lbs - I think a little ambitious even for Halibut.

Halibut Being Cleaned

Namu has some good Halibut fishing and lots of dock space for the small boats.  Unfortunatly,
there isn't much developement for people to stay.

Store on Wharf at Namu

Namu used to be a self contained fish processing area - The store was large and could suply
the ships with both their food needs and equiptment for boat repair.  The building on the left
is a restaurant/diner.

Bucket of Prawns in Zodiak

Again - shot at f1.4 in poor light.  The prawns are bright when they just pulled out of the water
but they shortly glaze over.

Blurry Prawn Trap

Sorry it's so blurry - it was shot at f1.4 in poor light.  The bait was pretty much dead at this
point so we weren't attracting many prawns.

Peter Caught a Quillback Rockfish

These fish grow to be 60 cm long - this is just a little guy!  We put this one back.

Sunset on the Fish Processing Plant

This was the view off our balcony.  Most evening it was rainy so this
passing break in the clouds was appreciated.  (The sound of a rain storm
against the metal roof really took me back.)
