Floaties In Swim Area
We brought floaties with us, but the hotel had a whole closet full of them for you to borrow. These were borrowed, but I think we own the exact same ones.
In The Lake From Trestle
There is a small current where the lake drains here. We didn't have life jackets for the kids so we wouldn't let the kids go swimming here.
The trestle is from the Kettle Valley Railway and is now part of the trans Canada trail.
Tourist Info Centre
The Tourist Info Centre is one end of the pool. We stopped in - they were super nice, giving us guidance for crossing the river later in the day. The kids wore their life jackets because with one parent and two kids, it would be pretty easy to have an accident.
Swimming Contest
Nara wanted a swimming contest against her sister which was in no way fair. Nara gave her a huge head start and then swam like crazy to catch up. I had to slow down Nara twice and she still won, but just barely. Claira was okay with that.
I love the view of the mountain from the swimming pool.
Lytton Waterslide
Have I mentioned this is one of my favorite pools in the whole world? Beautiful mountains all around, desert air, sometimes windy. It's a big pool with a shallow shallow end. The staff have always been really helpful. We have visited twice now.
