King Fisher Fishing
This is 5 photos composited in photoshop. This tiny bird was repeatedly fishing (dumb fish) so I shot on each flight. Too bad I don't own a 1500mm lens. Species: Alcedo atthis (European Kingfisher, Common Kingfisher)

Chinese Dolphins Near Tai O
This boat ride highlighted the problems with my technique. The boat had safety railings all the way around and the whales came up on the opposite side from me so I often got them in my shot. The whales surface quickly and sink - you loose half your time just trying to find them and focus. My camera isn't super fast (ISO or frame rate) so I didn't get much. Considering the boat trip is only a few dollars (but doesn't last more than 15 minutes), you get what you pay for. Species: Sousa chinensis (Chinese white dolphin, Indo-Pacific humpbacked dolphin)

Egret Fishing
The black bill and legs and yellow feet make this a Little Egret in my book. This dull yellow feet make this look like a juvenile to me. Species: Egretta garzetta (Little Egret)

Steamer With Baitfish
This was a very popular dish - ?????? lotus-wrapped rice in steamer. They weren't making fried rice/fried noodle dishes because they take too long and the restaurant was slammed. This was the closest thing (other than white rice) you could get. Pretty much every table ordered it. John Harvey Photo > Hong Kong 10 > Steamer With Baitfish

Traditional Southern Food
These food are very common in southern China. The closest dish is ?? roasted pork. The lighter tan dish is ???? fried squid balls - the kids quite like it. To the left is ????? sweet and sour ribs. This dish is often "knocked off" in western Chinese food (sweet and sour ...) but the pork is rarely to the same standard as you see in this dish. Selling Fish From Boat
This guy had at least 3 distinct types of shrimp for sale on his boat. He was operating under a bridge and would send the seafood up to the bridge deck using his long handled net. John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > Hong Kong > Selling Fish From Boat
