Nara With Small Fish
I'm pretty sure this is a Brook Stickleback. They were common in the lake (the kids had no problem catching them). These could be full sized fish - they don't grow much larger than this.
Hawaiian Spotted Toby
The guide books says these little fish are aggressive to other fish, but can't do much to swimmers. The aggressive nature is why they are easy to see for snorkelers.
