Two Eagles On A Lookout Tree
I saw one of these birds come in for a landing but I didn't have my camera ready. I watched for a while to see if one would fly off, but it didn't. An hour later when I walked by again, they were both still sitting in the tree. Species: Haliaeetus leucocephalus (Bald Eagle)

Two Pintails In Disagreement
In the pond close to our house, it's pretty much just Mallards and Canada Geese. Reifel has a lot more variety. These two birds were in a shoving match. Species: Anas acuta (Northern Pintail)

The duck on the right has the duck on the left by the tail. It's close to mating season for Mallards so the males are doing a lot of "positioning". Species: Anas platyrhynchos (Mallard)

Harrier On Fence Post
This bird (a Juvenile Harrier) wound up very close to the foot path - people were walking by with the dogs and noisy children so it didn't take long before the bird moved on. Species: Circus cyaneus (Northern Harrier)

Barred Owl Side View
Getting under the canopy to get a photo was easy - getting a clear shot without branches in the foreground took a little bit of maneuvering. When I wasn't moving, the bird basically ignored me. My camera is in the shop - this photo was taken with my wife's camera. Species: Strix varia (Barred Owl)

Barred Owl Triptych
Owls aren't easy to find - we only found this because someone else said there was an owl near by and we went looking for it. This was a short walk before dinner and I didn't bring my photo bag - just a 105mm and the 50. This is what I could do with what I had. The person at reception says there are three owls currently living in the garden. Species: Strix varia (Barred Owl)
