Happy Birthday Helen
Helen likes white cake with fruit and whipped cream. We like Maxim in Chinatown because they make good cakes at reasonable prices, but Vancouver has a number of Chinese style bakeries.

My sister made up the candles and the flower basket (her preparation was nothing short of heroic), my mother lent the table cloths, my sisters class made the origami butterflies (600 of them!), and my dad put in the lights.
Happy Birthday Cake
Nara picked out the cake - it was black forest cake. I think Nara liked the chocolate, but it isn't Helen's favorite kind of cake. Helen made up for a few days later by going to the fancy cake shop near city super.
