Foyer
This is a traditional entrance - you remove your shoes in the stone area and change into slippers for the wood area. Those slippers are later removed when you get to your room.

Upstairs and Downstairs

This is the living room and upstairs sleeping area.  The kitchen is at the back of the apartment.

Jacuzzi

Those mountains the background are the background mountains to Vancouver.  With a telescope you
can pick out skiers on Grouse and Cypress.

Front of House

It's getting late in the day and I poked around taking pictures.  A) - my metering was poor, and B)
this scene does not lend itself to velvia.  I think I need a wider lens (this was 28mm).

Our Hotel at night

I was amazed we could find our hotel at all - what pass for a street in Kyoto wouldn't make the map
in Vancouver.  The hotel was called "Heianbo" - it is a traditional inn with a traditional bath, traditional rooms,
and modern plumbing!

Hotel in Nikko

This is my room in the Turtle Inn Nikko. The floors are tatami - rice mats. That box
in the corner is a kerosene heater - there is no central heating.

Accommodation in Shearwater

These mobile homes are part of the hotel in Shearwater.  If you come
for a fishing trip, you probably stay here.

Wrecked Interior of Apartment

Some of the apartments in Ocean falls had their doors open so we
invited ourselves in to take a look.

The Living Room

I don't have a super wide angle lens to do architectural pictures well, but
this gives you a sense of how nice the house is.

Chairs on Deck

These chairs are the second best place to .  The best
is the hot tub.

Resort Buildings
Your image of place is strongly formed by the the first time you see it. Seeing the resort for the first time at night was a nice touch.

Big Windows
This is a totally synthetic view - there are 8 images making up this composite and quite a bit of painting in the upper right and lower left corners. Some of my favorite features: Thao is both making french toast and eating it, The echer inspired window frame on the far right, and the curved parkay floor.

Kitchen Area
The layout of this house could use some work. The kitchen really could use an island. That white door leads downstairs to the games room and the bedroom where Jer and Stephen slept in the bunk bed.
