Red Chili Peppers
These are beautiful peppers, but sold in such small quantities - you would go broke trying to make some Chinese dishes. Compare the presentation with Peppers for sale in Seattle's Public Market.

Daikon
Daikon comes is a variety of sizes, but this was some of the largest. Considering this grows in the ground, it's amazingly clean.

Bamboo Shoots
This is the root of the bamboo tree and the prices are very reasonable - the same price in Canada generally buys a much smaller root that has been preserved.

Tsukemono (Japanese Pickles)
There are about as many varieties of pickles as there are towns in Japan. Nice places have little sample boxes that let you taste them because there is a huge variety in the flavors available.
