Motion Blur Eating
It's difficult to get a sense of just how fast these little things move - he would eviscerate a cone in under a minute.

with here Digital Camera while hand holding it.

Motion Blur Snail
I don't have a good snail guide book (I have never found one), but Robert Forsyth seems to be working on a snail guide book for BC. He was kind enough to offer his opinion on this snail photo:
Hi John,

I've taken a look at your photo. It is a haplotrematid (family
Haplotrematidae), and is a half-grown individual. Not being able to see more
clearly some fine details of shell micro-sculpture, I cannot be entirely
certain of its Identification, but I'd say (about 85% certain) that it is
Haplotrema vancouverense -- the Robust Lancetooth snail, a common (and one of
the larger) species of land snail along the BC coast.

Hope that this helps.

Regards,

Robert
Thanks Robert!

Jer And Karen Walking Up
Tripod Obviously. I like how the motion was captured - it's not too wispy but I think I would double the time if I had a do over.

Setting up the Tarp

London Drugs didn't even print this photo - It's one of my
favorite pictures of the trip. Light was so scarce and I didn't
bring my f1.4 lens so it was wide angle or nothing.

Camp With Tents

We had two camp sites - these are the tents in the same site as the kitchen.
I'm pretty sure that's Jer getting out of his "4 person if you include stacking" tent. This image reminds me a lot of another photo.

Silverdaisy Creek

I think this is a 30 second exposure with a polarizer to keep within the f-stop range of my lens.
