Paper Bag Lantern Next To River
The paper bag lanterns on the fence posts were quite handy for seeing the walking boundaries. Unlike the last time, we didn't bring flashlights.

We are behind fences so getting the right angle for a reflection turns out to be hard. Salmon returning to the creek turned out to be a theme.
String Of Balloon Lanterns
I believe these lanterns are made by putting paper mache on a balloon and then cutting off the top of the balloon (once the paper mache dries).
Nara Standing By Fence
Of course Nara can't stand still for 4 seconds. Nara had a headlamp worn as a necklace so we were less likely to lose her. They had paper bag lanterns on all the fence posts - really, very effective.
