Edith Pano
The ghost glacier is on the top left - it's almost completely gone. The Angel glacier is on the right. This is a risky place to stand - snow can fall off into the snow ledges on the far side of the lake and then wash into the lake drowning people standing where I am standing. Nara With Fallen Ice Block
I think this block of ice came from the glacier way behind Nara. I wonder what it's arrival looked like (we didn't see any falling ice). John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2022 to 2005 > Banff Jasper Road Trip > Jasper > Nara With Fallen Ice Block

Helen On Bridge With Glaciers
I'm always impressed with the quality of bridges so far from the trail head. People: Helen

Glacier Over lake
This is a stupidly large pano - the source is actually 4 times this area. It was shot on my 105mm and it's 8 pictures seamed together. I really didn't get enough of the water and I didn't feel like painting in some placeholder. Love Hugin. John Harvey Photo > John Harvey Photo - Hiking > Garibaldi Lake > Glacier Over lake

Walking On Glacier
I felt luck such a spy looking down on these hikers from my lofty perch. I think the ropes are to prevent runaway sliding rather than recover someone who falls in a hidden crevasse. John Harvey Photo > John Harvey Photo - Hiking > Whistler Peak and Harmony Lake > Walking On Glacier

Tarn In Front Of Anniversary Glacier
The two moraines flanking this tarn are killer steep. I tried climbing one (rather than starting at the foot) and it couldn't be done safely. John Harvey Photo > John Harvey Photo - Hiking > Cerise Creek > Tarn In Front Of Anniversary Glacier

Do Not Get Dead
There were a lot of signs telling us not to go off the trails. The story of the 4 year old boy was vividly described over a series of signs. All in English and French unfortunately. John Harvey Photo > A BC Road Trip > Calgary To Jasper > Do Not Get Dead

Glacier on Hill
The mountain (it's about 5000 feet high) is unnamed on the topo maps and John Harvey Photo > Mid Coast of BC on the Curve of Time > Jenny Inlet to Cascade Inlet > Glacier on Hill
