Oguni Village North
The large tower on the left is the hotel we stayed in. The huge building on the right is the largest in town - it probably has 100 rooms.
These are the shortest bank hours I've seen anywhere in the world - 4 hours on Wednesday, 6 hours on Thursday, and 4 hours on Friday. I guess it's better than no bank.
Alert Bay is on the southern side of Cormorant Island and has a population of about 600 people. The town has some beautifully maintained houses (painted in great colors for the fog) and a number of commercial buildings.
The long house (part of the U'mista Cultural Center) is visible from a long way away. The brick building next is an old residential school and before that hospital. The totem on the right is one of the highest free standing totems.
This is current dock in Namu - large vessels can dock (on the left) and smaller boats (like the 90 foot curve of time) can use the water level dock. In the background you can see the hotel, jail and entertainment building.
This is Namu from the Ocean. The large buildings on the left are the remains of the fish processing plant. To the right is the hotel and then the entertainment build and bunk house.
