Maybe something Chanterelle
This would grown in small clusters, usually on dead wood. On the return hike, some of the clusters had been stepped on - it made me sad.

Hericium abietis - Conifer Coral Hericium
When I saw this, I thought it was a cauliflower mushroom (you can occasionally buy them at Granville Island), but looking at my books, I suspect it is Hericium abietis - National Resources Canada's view.

Artist's Fungus and Angel's Wings on Hemlock

This tree is on the hike from Cultus Sound to a smaller bay on the other side.
The fungus on the right had side is probably an "Artist's Fungus" (Ganoderma applanatum).  The larger fungus
on the right is probably an old example of "Angel's Wings" (Pleurocybella porrigens)..

Angel's Wings on Hemlock

I think this is "Angel's Wings" (Pleurocybella porrigens) but it would be a really old version of it.

Scaly Vase Chanterelle

These mushrooms (Gomphus Floccosus) were growing on a trail between cottages.  This group
was interesting because it shows the complete life cycle.
