Humpback in Burke Channel

We were coming up the Burke Channel towards the Nootsum River
when we saw a Humpback come coming up.  The humpback was down
for a long time and we lost it.

Harbour Porpoises in Bentinck Arm

There were about 25 whales traveling together in little groups of about 5 whales.
They would surface about three times and then stay under for about a minute.

Pod Swimming By
We were starting to pull away when this pod popped up. That is likely a young whale between the two females and you can see the larger male dorsal fin with a wave in it.
Species: Orcinus orca (killer whale, orca)

Orca Breaching Composite
The whale doesn't need to get this far out of the water to breath - she (short dorsal fin) is looking at us.
