A new activity for Nara, we go skating on Saturday afternoons.  We started her on figure skates but that was probably a mistake - she tripped on the toe picks a lot.  Once she got hockey skates she did better.  I'm really impressed with how patient the teachers are with her - it takes about half an hour for her to cross the width of the arena but they stay with her as much as they can.

Nara is in Ballet class this spring.  The class has two "open" session where parents can bring there cameras and take photos of the kids in the class.  Helen pointed out there are two types of parents in the audience - the keeners with their SLR's clicking like mad and the phoners with their phones leaning back and recording.  Thankfully one of the keeners figured out that the lights weren't on and turned on the overhead lights so we could get good photos.

I think this is Nara's fourth or fifth class so she is still learning a lot of the basics.  The class has a lot of music and the activity changes frequently - follow the teacher doing an activity followed by a game (freeze in pose when the music stops) followed by running with ribbons.  Many of the girls were in a previous fall semester and they have developed some skills.
