I don't know if it's helpful - there is no such thing as a "sea gull" - in BC there is 12ish species that people call "Sea Gulls", but none of them are named "Sea Gull". It's kind of like looking for the scientific name for "fruit" - it's actually a family with lots of different distinct individuals.
