In my mind, this is pretty much an ideal fireworks shot. It has three distinct layers. The colours in the mid layer are really distinct, the top is kind of quirky and the bottom haven't blown out. You can see people in the shot, but they don't dominate. If I had to complain, it's that the whole shot is too short (doesn't fit the top of the image).
