That rock wall is the southern end of Spider Island as seen from Fulton Passage.  The waves were rough
and I got sick pretty quickly.

Leather Star Unlike the more common Ochre Star, this star has a smooth (slimy) texture. Dermasterias imbricata.

Cedar Stained Ocean

This is the other side of our hike in Cultus Sound.  The water here is stained brown
from all the cedar in the water supply.

Flare Normally, there is no way I would use this picture - I generally don't like flawed image capture and the I doubt I could come up with a worse case of flare (the waterproof case had water on the front of it). That said, it gives you a pretty good sense of just how nice it was out there to paddle.
