View of Shearwater Marina Welcome to Shearwater BC! This is the resort half of Bella Bella. The large marina holds many tourist boats (many from the US) and the buildings house a small store, laundry, a post office, a general store and a large marine repair facility. There is a pub (with the metal roof in front of the mustard building). The big boat in the front is the Parry - a comercial tourist fishing boat - you live on board and go out in the runabouts each day to get the best fishing.

building is the Anglican church.

Shorts 360 On Ground In Bella Bella These little planes seem to have a fair amount of cargo space, and are much better than other small planes I've rode in.

Codville Lagoon is a sheltered lagoon on the Eastern side of the Fisher Channel.

Landing for Trail to Sagar Lake

This is the beach head where you begin the hike to Sagar Lake.  The sign
says that this is a wilderness site and all garbage much be packed out.

Climbing a Rope

This trail is one of the most damaged I've ever hiked. The soil over the
rock is thin and easily washes away once the vegetation has be trampled. Anything vertical
(that used to be covered with tree roots) is now exposed (slipery) rock.

Walking the Beach at Sagar Lake

The beach was an amazing orange colour - I was surprised there was so much sand for an inland lake.
