Maui, Hawaii

In 2020, we had a spring break trip booked to Hong Kong and Taiwan to visit family and friends and see the sights. COVID arrived and we were lucky to get refunds and to be able to cancel reservations without penalties, but we still missed seeing people.  Fast forward two years and much of Asia still isn't taking visitors.  My sister likes to go to Maui in the summer so we decided to take a risk and book tickets and accomodation even though COVID was still quite a thing when we booked it and cancelation policies aren't nearly as generous as they once were.  As spring came around, vaccines and public health have taken effect and most of the travel restrictions to the US had eased and we got to go on vacation!
