Great Blue Heron
These were pretty good hunters - they were pulling fish out with every strike and I didn't even see fish.

Ring Tailed Pheasant
This a European import that has become endemic - Ring Tailed Pheasant. Apparently they are good to eat but this one is almost a pet.

The tide was fairly far in so not much activity. I saw them on Monday and they were surfing on the waves. These are males.
