Climbing Around Stairs
The speckled light of being in the forest makes for fun. Around this point, some people started asking for me to take photos - or at least take some time to set up my tripod and take it down again so they could catch their breath.
Unnamed Lake
This is a 4 image panorama with extensive painting in the lower right corner. I was so tempted to push up to that ridge - maybe half an hour away - but it just wasn't the right thing to do.

This is a three image panorama - I have more images of the bottom, but the exposure is so rough (it's all shadown on rock, snow and ice), that they don't scan well.
A lava flow in 1959 ejected pumice cinders that covered a large region down range from the Volcano. This trail is built on top of the pumice and shows how life is reclaiming the area.
