Great Burnet With Butterfly
The flower is quite striking. The butterfly was a nice touch. I thought this was a European Skipper at the time, but it quite clearly isn't. Species: Sanguisorba officinalis (Great Burnet, official burnet), Lycaena mariposa (Mariposa Copper)

Checker Lily Flowers
I was really surprised to see these Checker Lilies Under the tree within sight of the ocean. Then I looked around - there was a smaller group of flowers under most trees close to the beach. Last time I saw these flowers was in the southern gulf islands. Species: Fritillaria affinis (checker lily)
