My last trip to
Calgary was in the middle of winter (new years) so seeing Mike's
place with grass instead of snow and flowers (Val's doing I think)
instead of snow was quite nice. Mike also purchases a truck (the
Mustang is back on the Island) so we were quite happy when Mike offered
to give us a ride to Dinner.
It was the middle of the week so Mike and
Val were both working during the day. The original plan was to drive
out to Drumheller to see the Dinosaur Museum but we were rather sick of
day long drives. Instead we drove downtown and checked out Sentry Box
(a gaming store) and the downtown core.
We spent the night playing various board games. Karen picked up
crononaughts and Mike had a great three player chess game where the
board is formed by the connectedness of the pieces. We stayed up
late chatting.
