Salt Lights
I needed something to break up the silhouette - It's not that I like these salt lights. John Harvey Photo > Blogs for 2023 to 2005 > September 2009 > Salt Lights

Salt In Front Of Restaurant
You can see a little white dot in front of the restaurant. This is rarely done in Japan, but in Kyoto it wasn't so rare. John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > A Fourth Trip to Japan > Kyoto > Salt In Front Of Restaurant

Salt Flats With Hills
I'm always amazed by how different things can be, even though they are located so close together. John Harvey Photo > A BC Road Trip > Day 1: Vancouver to Castlegar > Salt Flats With Hills

Pools Of Salt
I would love to know why this lake forms round pools. Why not just crust over entirely? This is Spotted lake and it is on private land. John Harvey Photo > A BC Road Trip > Day 1: Vancouver to Castlegar > Pools Of Salt

Crusted Salt On Salmon
This is after the Salmon has come out - the salt on the bottom is stained brown (I'm guessing the fish leaked fluid), but a hard (and very hot) layer has formed around the fish. John Harvey Photo > Pender Island for the May Long Weekend > Crusted Salt On Salmon

Fish Buried In Salt
First we layed of bed of about a quarter inch of salt, then gently layed the fish down, and then poured enough salt over so there weren't any thin spots. By this point (5 kg of fish, 2 kg of salt) the tray was getting heavy. John Harvey Photo > Pender Island for the May Long Weekend > Fish Buried In Salt

Salt Lake Panorama
This is just west of Kamloops. I love the bright red plants growing around the lake - I would have liked to go down and take a closer look, but there was a fence between here and there. John Harvey Photo > A BC Road Trip > Jasper To Lillooet > Salt Lake Panorama
