Intermediate Egretta
Besides being Japan and the species being very different - I'm pretty sure it's not a Great Egret because the legs aren't black all the way up.
Pond With Carp
These were the most rowdy of the koi we saw in Japan. There were fish food stands along the water (honor system to pay) and the fish knew that people meant feeding time.
Garden And Pond
This is the view as you walk into the park. With the haziness, I wasn't happy with the photo, but I'm sure you could do a lot with a long lens.
I later repeated this shot at dusk but didn't get any results I particularly liked. 12 years later, I took a photo again. What a difference modern camera and processing does.
