Banff and Jasper (and Invermere and Golden)


If you had to pick a single vacation destination in Canada - you are either going to choose Banff/Jasper or Niagra Falls. Even though Banff/Jasper is pretty closer (11 hour drive?) to where we live, my kids have never been. This is the year we change that.

Osoyoos

Osoyoos is one of my favorite places in the Okanagan.  I was surprised we lost a whole afternoon to a rainstorm!

Invermere and Area

Just a bit south of Radium is the town of Invermere.  We stayed at a BC Parks camp site and explored the local trails and town.

We camped at Tunnel mountain and explored the area on bikes and hiking.

Bighorn Sheep On Rock Face

Jasper

Whistlers Campground is apparently the largest in all of Parks Canada.  More hiking (Glaciers!) and wildlife.

We took a day Trip to Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks and short paddle in the Columbia Wetlands

We didn't want to drive from Golden to Vancouver in one day so we overnighted in Kelowna.
