These are Beignets at Cafe Du Monde French Market. John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > New Orleans > Snack To Kill You

Giant Crab
This is a pretty young area to hang out - the streets are lined with fast food shops and there are several covered shopping streets intersecting here. The restaurant with the giant crab is called Kani Doraku Dotonburi Honten . We wound up eating okonomiyaki close to here. Plates Of Sushi
This isn't high end sushi. The restaurant was in a medium quality mall and had lots of families. John Harvey Photo > Okinawa > Plates Of Sushi

Noodles And Beer
This was a little beach side restaurant - plastic chairs and tables, lots of fast food. That said, the food wasn't just microwave reheat. John Harvey Photo > Okinawa > Noodles And Beer

Conveyer Belt Sushi
You can see it's a conveyer on two levels with glasses on the bottom level. The colour of the plates determines the cost and they total the plates at the end of your meal. John Harvey Photo > Okinawa > Conveyer Belt Sushi

California Roll
The California Roll was likely invented somewhere in North America - it's not normally something you find in Japan. This sushi joint understands it's market. John Harvey Photo > Japan 7 > California Roll

Claira With Kappa Maki
Kappa Maki is really simple, but this was done well. I was impressed by the how toasty the Nori was. People: Claira

Sushi Arrives By Rail
The restaurant has a strict 45 minute time limit - the tablet stops letting you order. We were ordering pretty much constantly. The rolls come out on the little car, but we did have the server come out once with a tray because we ordered too much too quickly. This place doesn't count your dishes. Grilled Cheese And French Fries
Claira likes a glass of milk with her meals. Generally that is hard to find in Hong Kong unless you bring it yourself from a convenience store. Here it was on the kids menu. John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > Hong Kong 11 > Grilled Cheese And French Fries

Biking Through Restaurant
The woman in black on the left is a server. I'm sure she isn't thrilled to see a guy with a camera up to his eye while biking. John Harvey Photo > Hong Kong 10 > Biking Through Restaurant

Water Street Cafe In Fog
I was looking for something more romantic. It didn't happen. The light streaks from the car were nice though. John Harvey Photo > January 2009 > Water Street Cafe In Fog

Meat Hanging On Rack
It's pork on the left, then squid the chicken. The chicken may be soy chicken. Having food trays underneath is quite unusual - the drippings usually go into trays or open packages of "take away". John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > NYC > Meat Hanging On Rack

Steamed Buns
This restaurant in Shibuya only sells steamed things. They have great plumes of steams coming from the facade - great advertising. John Harvey Photo > Trips out of the Country > A Second Trip to Japan > Tokyo > Steamed Buns

Kid in Restaurant
The kid was the waitress's daughter. Cute kid. There is a flaw in the emulsion near the green cross in the center. Tags: restaurant
